Whiskey
Whiskey was found on the campus of C. E. Byrd High School one afternoon. A teacher was able to confine him long enough for Tyrrell to get him and start looking for his owner. Luckily, his human mama was located very quickly, and the two were soon reunited!
February 2024
Boris
Tyrrell and a friend spotted Boris running down Line Ave. on his own one afternoon. After several minutes of chasing, they finally convinced Boris to jump into the car. It turned out that Boris was actually already being fostered by Kaitlyn, who was the mom of one of Tyrrell's students and is now on The Mutt House board! Boris stayed with Tyrrell for a little while after that, and soon he was able to go to Pet Savers of Shreveport. It did not take long for him to be adopted, and he is now living his best life.

Sheila & The LOTR Puppies
Sheila & the LOTR puppies are a family of dogs who were abandoned by their owner in the summer of 2024. TMH board member Jessica managed a property, & when the tenant moved, they left a mama dog and seven puppies behind. The puppies were all put into the same kennel together and left in the Louisiana heat with no food or water for over twenty-four hours. Jessica called for help, and the dogs went into foster homes. Six of the puppies have now found their forever homes (including 1 foster fail w/ Jessica), but Arwen and her mother Sheila are still in boarding. They both have a wonderful and entertaining personality and deserves all the love! Sheila is HW+, but Arwen in HW- and both are still intact; The Mutt House will cover their spay procedure & Shelia's HW treatment.
